enjoy the simple things

Life has been a bit icky lately, and I feel like I am angry a lot. So, I decided to make a list of all of the things I love about life, or just love in general. And not the cliché things like “sunsets” or “the smell of freshly cut grass,” although I love both of those things. Anyway, here goes:

- I love giving my dog baths… she hates them and is almost 90 pounds, so I practically have to get in with her to get her all rinsed off. I end up being thoroughly soaked, and there is usually a couple of inches of water on the floor.
- I love that a stack of photocopied paper is warm.
- I love skeletons, and I have for a long time– I remember asking my mom for a full-body x-ray of myself for my birthday when I was little.
- I love dreams that are terrifying – there are very few dreams that bother me enough that I don’t like them.
- I love that our backyard fence turns green when it rains.
- I like bugs; I think they are fascinating.
- I love cemeteries. (Maybe because there are lots of skeletons there.)
- I love peeing in an outhouse when it’s a freezing morning.
- I love country music, and I love that Josh can sing most older country songs, even though I’ve never known him when he listened to country music.
- I like smelling laundry that other people have done. I know that sounds creepy, but what I mean is when I get back a piece of clothing I've lent to someone and they've washed it, I like smelling it because it smells different than my laundry soap. Maybe I should have said that I like smelling different laundry soaps...

When I think of more I'll add them.
